Program Modules

Automatic assessment and learning module

The student is automatically assessed across different subject areas. The program determines in which topics or sub-topics the student is at the desired year-level and more importantly, in which areas the student's mathematical skills need upgrading. The program generates a comprehensive report and also automatically determines a remedial schedule of exercises to fill the knowledge gaps. Progress in these exercises is monitored until the student is at the desired year level in all topic areas.

Teaching Module

Instruction slides (with voice) are provided to cover all topic and sub-topic subject areas included in the program. When students want to acquire a new skill, or would like to revise an area they are unsure of, they can do this by working through the relevant section in this module.

Exercise Module

Students may want to improve their math knowledge or reinforce newly learnt concepts by doing math exercises. For all exercises up to Level 3 voice instruction accompanies the written exercise instruction. There are several hundred exercises in the program and for each a virtually unlimited amount of different exercises are generated by the random number generator. From each exercise the relevant teaching slides covering the topic relevant to the specific exercise, can be accessed. For each exercise there are worked examples to enable a student to view the correct methodology, as well as worked out solutions. All exercises are marked immediately, giving instant feedback.

Homework Module

Teachers or parents can set work for students to do in their own time. These are marked as they are done, again giving instant feedback and allowing the student to repeat them, thereby further enhancing the learning experience.

The program also has a range of reports covering the automatic assessment, practice exercises and homework performance.

This program facilitates the testing and evaluation of students, to identify what they know, as well as problem areas. A remedial learning schedule is automatically set. This together with step-by-step teaching slides and a wide range of reports, strives to achieve Eduss's goal of providing educational systems that meet the needs of its customers and produce measurable results.
